He won't score 30 this year. Unless something drastic changes he isn't going to score 30 next year. You can expect the guy to continue to be a top 20 goal scorer as he gets older. It's not unreasonable for him to be scoring 20+ a year and making between 3-4 a season.
If anything Iginla taking a discount on his contract would help the flames out in a big way by leaving the team salary cap room to hopefully get other players in here that can be key contributers.
