My one dog used to be a little escape artist. A couple of years ago, she disappeared from my yard in Altadore. I spent the next half hour searching for her until my phone rang. Some guy spotted her running down Crowchild Trail, so he pulled over and coaxed her into his car. He didn't have a cell phone, so he took her home and called me to say she was safe, and I could come pick her up - in Tuscany.
Another time she disappeared while I was unloading groceries from the front seat of my truck. I brought in a couple handfuls of bags, and she was gone. WTF. So I ran out to the truck and started driving around the block (headed over to fricken Crowchild, since she seems to like it there), and as I was yelling her name out the window, she started to whine - from the back seat. Little bitch.
