Not minimalizing Feaster's efforst but his mantra is a lot less hands on than the previous GM as he lets his guys have a lot of input in the players that are picked. Weisbrod seems to have a good handle on identifying talent and Feaster is doing what a good manager does which is to have faith in his guys evaluations.

You can't give Weisbrod any credit for the Flames 2011 Draft since he was sitting at Boston's table at the time (he has spoken about how upset the Bruins were they didn't get Gaudreau, but he was secretly happy because he knew he was going to be joining the Flames).
