According to CapGeek.com The Flames will be sitting @45m commited to payroll leaving 15m to spend on rounding out the roster (assuming the cap does in fact get lowered to 60m).

Rfa's, Backlund, T.J Brodie, Bouma and Butler.

Ufa's, Iggy, Comeau, Babchuk, Karlsson, Cervenka.

Is there really a need to use the buyout for the Flames? Not really IMO, just a chance to rid themselves of a terrible contract like Stajan's (even though he will only have one year left).

It would be interesting to see which players would be bought out from other teams. Like Lecavalier, Luongo, Kovalchuk, and any other ridiculous contract.
