This is such a load of crap. You pay thousands and thousands to attend university, and they treat with with such freaking contempt and laziness. I had a similar issue this last semester and had to climb the ranks up to the Associate Dean to get any resolution, but I do suggest she starts at the prof and goes from there.
I get so tired of the bureaucratic nonsense at these institutions sometimes, the stupid rules that can't be broken, the lack of flexibility. It drives me crazy.
