I told myself I wasnt going to come back in here after the other day. Our ideals , views , and the ways we were raised are totally different so our arguing doesnt really mean anything to the other person bc we dont understand where each other is coming from. I probably should have just not said anything today.

It's true I'm not in favour of guns period, but that's fine here in Canada where we don't really have a gun culture (rifles etc for rural areas is different)
However, with guns being baked in the pie in the states, it's not really possible to take away guns any time soon. It'd probably take 100 years or more to fully get things there into a similar position as it is here. That being said, I'm hoping for reductions on the amount of bullets that is possible to be fired by an experienced person in 1 minute. Say that you can only get off 25-30 rounds in 1 minute, verses a lot more with what it is now.
For example you can reduce the clip size from 30 or 100 down to ten and make it so that it takes an extra step or two to switch clips that just eats time, but doesn't otherwise impede the ability of the gun. Basically anything that can reduce the amount of damage one can do if they decide to go crazy like what happened several times this year.
I'd also be in favour of getting rid of guns that look like machine guns like an AK-47 or the Bush master etc. entirely from the public sphere but allow target ranges to have them so if you want to fire a machine gun, then you have the ability to do so in a controlled environment.
Also get rid of armour piercing rounds because they really do serve no purpose other than to kill people.
