Mikey, why then does America have to be so engrained in their gun culture and arm themselves to the teeth, when everyone else does exactly the opposite and doesn't have near as many gun deaths (per person)?
Does the same tactic work in Canada as well? I sincerely doubt it, which shows me that not only is America still a dangerous place comparatively speaking to other first world countries, but also their gun culture / second amendment rights is easy justification for those who think they're necessary for personal safety.
To me, everyone pointing their guns at each other in a saloon is not nearly as safe as everyone in the saloon not having any guns at all.
To use a Cold War analogy, whereas the rest of the world deals with gun violence through Detente, the US seems to prefer brinksmanship. Never understood why.
