I never said that I disagree that some guys may experience such a negative effect. Hence why I agreed with the post earlier in which it was said that each situation needs to be reviewed by a counsler. Again, we're talking about CONSENSUAL sex. I'm sure even these DR.'s would agree that consensual sex with a teacher does not automatically lead to symptoms of abuse.
Let me ask you this again...
Do you think that a teacher having a consensual relationship with a student that is above the age of consent should automatically lead to the teacher having to serve hard time and having their life ruined forever?

When you are dealing with minors and you are in a position of authority there is no such thing as a consensual relationship. That is why the age of consent for such a situation in Canada is 18, experts in the field (perhaps with even more knowledge than you or Q) have made that determination.
I know you are hung up on this hot teacher fantasy, but to answer your question yes that would be a sexual assault and they should have to serve time. There are specific rules when it comes to people in positions of authority because of the fact that that authority brings with it additional factors. You can have sex with a 17 year old girl if you are over 18 as long as it does not fall under section 153 of the Code I think (with a couple other sections being applicable as well). But the Criminal Code is clear and there is a reason for that, the laws are not just made up based on what some guy thinks one random day.
Now to ask you a question, if a 35 year hockey coach has a consensual sexual relationship with a 17 year old hockey player (hockey player is not gay, but it is consensual) should that be a criminal activity.
