"When you look at these men who have been abused by females, and compare them to the men abused by males, in terms of psychological function, they were doing as badly as the men abused by males," says Dr Patrick O'Leary, a senior lecturer in social work at the University of South Australia.
O'Leary, who conducted Australia's biggest study of male victims of sex abuse, says that having been sexually abused by a woman was for men a higher risk factor towards becoming a sexual offender than being abused by another male.

So the psychological effects of having been abused by a woman are equally as traumatizing as having been abused by a man. And if you are abused by a woman you are more likely to become a sexual offender than if you were abused by a man. That does not sound good.

Even so, there is evidence that attitudes need to change. Dr Caroline Taylor, a senior lecturer at Ballarat University and a researcher on sexual abuse, was last year asked to speak to a group of trainee teachers in Victoria following publicity about the prosecution of Karen Ellis. Taylor says the invitation to speak came because the trainee's lecturers were concerned about attitudes towards Ellis and her victim.
"They were throwing it back, saying he obviously enjoyed it. A couple said it's every young male's fantasy. They were imbuing these adolescents with far more power than they had," Taylor says. "They were viewing them as young men; I was saying, they are boys. I think some of (the trainee teachers) thought it was a bit of a joke. The thing that concerned me, it showed that the stereotypes about sexual assaults — of males and females — still exist."

Finally, there is an alarmingly high rate of sexual abuse by females in the
backgrounds of rapists, sex offenders and sexually aggressive men – 59%
(Petrovich and Templer, 1984), 66% (Groth, 1979) and 80% (Briere and
Smiljanich, 1993). A strong case for the need to identify female perpetrators can
be found in Table 4, which presents the findings from a study of adolescent sex
offenders by O’Brien (1989). Male adolescent sex offenders abused by “females
only” chose female victims almost exclusively.

It is a problematic report because it is based on the findings of medical professionals and not based on the stories in Hustler, but it provides some interesting facts and such if anyone wants to read it.
