Yes but you're considering a kid as someone who is dependent on parents/guardians. Which is true and fair. But I think pylon is more referring to the maturity/stupidity angle. The guy is a full grown adult male with (presumably) the capacity for adult intelligence. Whether stupid or psychotic (I would think its somehwre in between) his age has zero to do with it. If he's stupid enough to light an unconcious person on fire at 20, thinking there will be no negative outcomes, he will likely be that stupid at age 40.
You could argue maybe he will learn now, but judging from his FB photos i would say him and his friends have been severely burned multiple times and have yet to figure it out.
