And people need to give the Pats some credit. Look at the lead the 49ers needed to build up to win the game.
Losing the game on 2 bad defensive plays was rough for the Pats though. Had the 49ers won the game on a long 6 or 7 minute drive following the comeback, the loss would have still been a moral victory for the Pats imo. Mounting that comeback and losing it so quickly has to be tough emotionally- possibly ruin the faith that had been built up in the defense over the last few weeks.

The Houston game could easily have been a whole different story. Schuab makes a horrible throw instead of hitting a wide open Foster. Texans can't recover a fumble, Texans take a dumb penalty that was also a bad call, you're down 21-0 and you can't stick with your original gameplan.
I still think there are holes in that New England defense. The key is if you can get up on them, you have to be able to run the ball and control the clock after. Arian Foster makes that game a complete blowout if it's him and the Texans with that lead in the 3rd Quarter.
