Isn't it obvious that grabbing a gun from your house that your parents own, or buying a guy legally are both far easier, simpler and done on a whim than making your own bomb is? It should be pretty obvious.
Whenever I see that argument that gun deaths would still have been caused by bombs or w/e I have to shake my head. Guns are ready at hand for many Americans. Bombs require research, acquisition, and frankly aren't realistically going to be made by most of the population at any point in their lives.
The issue is that guns are easy to acquire and extremely deadly. Bombs are not anywhere as easy to acquire or make. Knives aren't as deadly.

I realize guns are the first choice, ya that's obvious. When that first choice is gone is what I'm getting at.
The article doesn't say if he had actually made any but clearly it was on his mind. The Colorado bomber had his house wired with explosives. Why do you feel it's so hard to make up a few pipe bombs?
