Really trading hitting prospects for established pitching, is something MLB farm systems seem to be able to take. If they can extend Dickey, they have a good rotation set up for 2-3 years, in which time they can build the farm system back up. MLB isn't a have your cake and eat it set up...you either have a good farm system, or a good team on the field, but very few organizations have both. With the age of a guys like Bautista, Reyes, and Encarnacion I don't have any issues with bein aggressive in going for it now. The time for those guys to produce is now.
