I love my kobo mini, it's small enough that it just fits in my pocket and i can bring it with me anywhere. The e-ink is nice an crisp. Since it's not an LCD there's a lot less eye strain as well. I didn't go for the glo for two reasons, I wanted something really small, and I have a predisposed eye condition, so I never read in low light situations, as such the backlight wasn't much of a concern for me.
But yea, reading on the kobo is miles ahead of reading on an ipad.
