You will be in an area I like to call the "upper hood". It isnt exactly the best part of town, but it isnt terrible either.

There is a Safeway right on the NW corner of 32nd and 36th and you are right on top of Sunridge mall, so shopping is very convienent. There is also a strip mall anchored by London Drugs (name escapes me) on the SW corner of 32nd and 36th, Marlborough Mall is straight south on 36th, and really, both 32nd Ave and 36th Street are resteraunts, pubs and stores for their entire length south and west.

You'll be right on top of the LRT line as well, so easy access to anywhere else in Calgary if you wish.
