Well of course not in scale, but at some point it doesn't matter if something is 1km away or 10km away. If it's a pain in the ass to get to by walking or public transit, you're not going unless it's by car.
I know it's low down on the priority list, but at some point there will need to be more attention paid to getting around the inner city. Because if the city is going to have the 2nd highest parking rates in NA, then there better be some alternatives.
The push for more bike lanes is a great (and relatively cheap) start, but even those are somewhat seasonal, and unless they are separated, it won't be seen as very safe by a lot of people considering how terrible drivers are here in dealing with bikes.
I still would love to see to see some sort of Beltine > Kensington > Bridgeland >Inglewood > East Village > Victoria Park > Mission > Beltline Loop in the next decade. Doesn't have to be fancy (or specifically that loop)....a euro style at-grade streetcar type of setup. Probably could've had something like that if all those wasted Ralph Bucks were pooled into something useful.
