Pens drop OT decision, trail 2-0 in series.
Felix Potvin played brilliant in the first period of Friday nights clash against the Panthers, unfortunetely for the Pens that play did not keep up throughout the rest of the game. Potvin stopped all 17 shots he faced in the 1st period and then showed why he is not a #1 goalie the rest of the way. The Pens allowed just 9 shots in the second, third and overtime periods combined , but Potvin struggled allowing 4 goals on those shots. GM Goffie didn't have much to say after the game. but did make a few comments:
" I think our team has played great the first two games, we outshot them in the first game and only allowed 26 shots total in game 2. I think this series is clearly gonna be won and lost in the crease, and unfortunetely for us we are without our top 2 goalies. I think if we had Jose or even Eddie in the net for us, the series would look different heading home for game 3. We are gonna keep our heads high and hopefully our fans can inspire our offense enough to get us a couple of wins."
