If people are holding this up to LOTR then I think they will be disappointed.. The Hobbit is a much different book with a much lighter theme to it.

However, I have no idea how the movie is being portrayed, and maybe that is the problem, they tried to clone LOTR in The Hobbit time frame..

Either way I started the book again last night in prep for the movie, I think this is my fourth or fifth read through now. I always forget just how entertaining of a read it really is. I plan to go the Sunday afternoon of opening weekend, getting excited.
