If next season is going to involve any significant amount of time to Nucky trying to win her back, it'll be a waste.

Hopefully next season focuses solely on the gangster stuff. There's more than enough there to drive several storylines, and even though I enjoy Richard as a character, I don't find him essential to any storyline going forward. If that was it for him though, obviously can't go out much better (though I hoped he'd utilize a few bladed weapons in his massacre, just for violence sake). Overall I'd give the season a 9/10, better than season 2 but not quite up to season 1.
from the sounds of it that's exactly what they're planning. Nucky realizes now that he can't live in 2 worlds (underworld gangster, public celebrity) anymore. that's why he talked to Eli about only letting in people they already trust, and taking the flower off his suit at the end

i wonder if that means we'll see him move away from Atlantic City to somewhere he isn't as well known in. i'd like to see New York or Chicago feature far more prominently in the show next season
