Golf!
|
I'm soooo with you on this one. I had to attend our company golf tourney this year and I of course didn't play, mainly because I'm not good and absolutely refused to make an ass out of myself playing a sport I loathe.
I had to sit as a witness at our "hole in one" hole, just in case somebody actually got a hole in one. It was boring, hot, and I had to endure "Are you the prize?" type comments all afternoon. I did get to go ripping around in one of the golf carts. Highlight of my freakin afternoon.
Golf should be abolished. [/b][/quote]
To paraphrase Brian Burke, ex-GM of the Canucks:
"If I can't find something better to do with five hours of my time than that stupid game, I should be taken out and shot."
Never lacking in an opinion is Brian Burke.
I avoid golf unless I can't get out of it - charity tournaments and the like where I have some sort of obligation to show up ala a contribution or for schmoozing purposes.
