ok so i know you have to put aside any semblance of realism for these games, but after the latest Desmond mission i did it's just too much

so you walk straight in the front door of Abstergo to rescue your dad, armed only with a couple of knives. for some reason the guards, who have guns, decide instead to try and melee the trained assassin with batons. and if they wake up and realize that they can shoot you, they pull out their glocks in the slowest possible way giving you plenty of time to take them out. and hell even if they do manage to get a shot off and hit you, it doesn't matter because apparently Desmond is bulletproof. and then to top it all off at the end after killing Vidic, you walk straight out through dozens of guards because the Apple incapacitates them all. which begs the question of why the #### didn't Desmond use the Apple in the first place instead of going stab happy?

that sequence may just be one of the dumbest things i've ever seen in a videogame
