I used to own a 2002 Honda CRV and it cost more to insure than my brand new Sante Fe. I asked why?
They gave a couple of explanations.

First, they said it depends on how your vehicle is rated for safety and reliablity.

They also said that Honda and Toyota parts are the highest priced of any vehicles.

I can vouch for that. I had some vandalism on my CRV one time. Someone had walked by and whacked my side rear view mirror. It cost $300 just for the piece of glass....not the whole mirror unit, just the glass. Bloody well crazy price for a small part.
