I am torn with HBO.
I subscribe to it and am happy to as they provide great entertainment. But I hate that I have to have a cable package in order to subscribe. I also find that I often hear about a show after the first few episodes have aired and want to check it out. I have on demand but it always has a two week delay for HBO so I can wait and watch everything on a two week delay but that takes away from my enjoyment of the show. I like to read and discuss the episodes as they air and you can't do that if you are always behind. Trying to find the tape delay episodes can work but is inconvenient. In the end it is so easy to open the Bay and download the two episodes that I missed and then watch the next episode as it comes out. In my opinion I am doing nothing wrong as it is something that I have paid for but it is still not legal. If they stop me from catching up on missed episodes though I will most likely cancel my HBO subscription.
Reading this thread it sounds like almost everyone is on the same page where they have justified their actions but also have some sort of line that they don't cross.
