I'm not sure this post will add much to the thread, but yesterday, one of Turner's people knocked on my door. I immediately told him that Turner has my vote, and that I wasn't interested on being on his list.
Turner gets my vote because his guy was the first one that initiated any contact with me, and I'm not interested in being on the list because henceforth, my vote will be up for grabs in every election.
Being the first one to knock on my door will not necessarily get future candidates my vote, but because I'm guilty of voting Conservative by default, and I always thought it was irresponsible of Ontarians to vote Liberal and Quebecers to vote Bloc by default, I should probably deviate from my constant, unwavering support of the Conservatives.
So this is not so much a protest vote against the Conservatives, but more of a shake it up vote. I figure that if all parties had to actually work in all ridings, there might be more accountability. And since Quebec and Ontario made the first move towards actually punishing their default parties, I want to reciprocate.
Also, I think it would be really funny if a Green won a seat in "The Heart of the New West".
