Three things to looks at critically here:
1) It's the National Post. It has always leaned right.
2) The link above is an opinion piece not to be confused with news.
3) The "..." between phrases means that things were cut the quotes. Any time you see that, you need to take things with a grain of salt.
Personally, I think it is more beneficial for people to shut themselves off from the media before they make outright judgments. I remember reading an opinion piece from a left leaning source before that took quotes from Harper and snipped them to make it sound like he was a fascist.
