Pretty sure there is a weird stat out there that states wins are more important than sv% and GAA when predicting a rookie goalie's future success. If he wins games, the team will play him more in the future instead of bailing on him and playing a different goalie. The opposite happens when a rookie has a good sv% (the only stat worth talking about with goalies), but few wins. Wish I could dig up that article...

Irving played well in all but 1 game. Most posters may not realize that two overtime losses occurered when the Flames were short handed. Hi s win against Vancouver on Hockey Night in Canada was fantastic. In back to back games in recent years the Flames were horrible.
