But charged and convicted are two different things. I was also shocked that he got convicted based off of a testimony for an event that occurred four years prior. They need to make an example of this girl to prevent this type of thing from happening again and again.
But do you think the "you can't punish her as it will scare real rape victims from coming forward" card will come into play?
