In 2012, with people committing suicide over things that happen on the internet, the notion that "It's just the internet, relax" no longer applies, imo.
There's nothing I type out online that I wouldn't say in person.
Of course I wouldn't go out in person and impose my opinions on people at random, but if I was sitting at a table with others and certain topics came up, I would participate in those topics much in the same way I would on an internet message board.
I'm quite reasonable outside of sensitive social and political issues. I live a normal married life, enjoy helping people, enjoy travelling, blah blah blah.
As I've said in the past, I moved out here for a lifestyle change. Both physically and mentally. Am I there mentally yet? Not quite... it won't happen over night. I'm naturally drawn to controversy.
Perhaps I need to participate in some of the harmless threads on CP... they just never seem as fun as the debatable ones.
Anyways... part of me feels bad that some of you have such strong opinions on me (which seems like it's on a deep personal level). It's almost not worth it. I don't want to make enemies, I just want to be able to share my opinions without having my entire character based on those opinions.
