I like an angry Anwar Stewart, the goal is to focus and channel that energy towards Ricky Ray.
“That team,” sniffed Lions’ hybrid running back Andrew Harris, “isn’t even close to as good as us. That’s the thing that stings the most. We got beat by a team that’s not better than us.”
Echoed dazed DB Dante Marsh: “I didn’t even think it was going to be close.”
“Crazy,” muttered Calgary Stampeders’ rush end Anwar Stewart. “Just disrespectful. Man, I don’t get it. No, I just do not get it.
“Even the last time we played them in there, we had a chance to win the game. We just didn’t finish. So I’m readin’ this stuff this morning and I’m like ‘What makes you guys so superior?!’
“They’re freakin’ arrogant.
“You can’t disrespect the game. You can’t disrespect the players. Maybe they did take us lightly. If they did, well, honestly, this is what happens when you do. We don’t take anybody lightly. We don’t take any team for granted. We treat everybody with respect.
“People talked about our learning curve. Maybe this is a learning curve for them.”
