Well that would be sweet, but I would have to think that something else would have to be fairly significant. Dickey might be old, but being a KB'er (that also has a fairly low # of major league innings on his arm) he could potentially pitch another 5-8 years. Not only that but coming off of three straight very solid seasons (and now a Cy Young) he is likely going to command
a lot of interest. And all that said, I am not totally sold on the fact that Dickey would see the same success he has in the past, in the ALE.
Assuming they have a bit more money to spend (why not!) I'd prefer they try and trade JPA for prospects and sign someone like Edwin Jackson or Marcum if he'll sign. Or, if you want to trade with the Mets (as they need a C) for a pitcher then go after Jonathon Niese. I would guess he'd cost as much, if not a bit less then Dickey, will be commanding less interest, is locked up for five years and is 26 years old coming off a strong season.
