We recently got the Nespresso Pixie as a gift, and honestly, I think it's pretty great. I like my coffee thick as motor oil, and it's the closest I can get to a real espresso without spending a thousand bucks for a good machine/grinder, or going to a place like Phil and Sebastian and spending 4 bucks.
Yeah, it's not cheap and the waste bothers me too, but considering I drink 1-2 a day, the $1.20 or whatever is not that big of a deal. It seems like a fair price to pay for the convenience and relatively decent quality.
Not sure how the Tassimo's compare to Nespresso....although the fact that you can get Tim Horton's ones makes me question them a bit.
