League for Morrow is a huge win.
Marcum for Lawrie.
Spare parts (which did help the Cardinals win the world series, bullpen help cannot be stated enough but really had no help for the Jays long term) for Rasmus
Something in return for Vernon Wells and not eating a dollar off that contract is one of the best MLB moves in the last decade.
Even Gonzalez for Escobar was strong.
There is a honeymoon phase that can go on, luckily for Jays fans I can tell you he's incredibly highly thought of and respected around MLB. BUt the fact is the Jays have still not made the playoffs in two decades and he should only fairly be judged on that, especially now that he has money to spend.

I was more talking about the god comment which I agreed how he was looked at the time, but not quite the truth looking back.
I think the Escobar and Rasmus deals have a lot of questions about them considering how each performed so far in their time with the Jays. Not bad deals but not the outstanding trades they were thought to be at the time.
