That's how I did it. I left the telus box doing DHCP in part because I have a few wired clients and I connected my AirPort Extreme as you described. Turned off the telus wireless, gave the extreme the same Sid and everything resumed working without a hitch. I was also able to place the extreme in a more central location to get better overall wifi

Ok I must be a newb then here because I tried to hookup my Linksys GL Linux Router and I could not get it to work well with the Telus Router even when just Turning off the Wifi. Pretty sure the Telus Router would need to be put into Bridge mode for most to work well with it (is this not the case?). If it doesn't need to be in bridge mode (which no telus person will do for me) then what am I doing wrong that it wouldn't agree with my Router that is 100 times better?
