I've been using a "wake up light" for probably 6 or 7 years.
If the light wakes you up early, that's actually good in my opinion. Gives you a bit of time to sort of gradually wake up instead of being in a deep sleep when your alarm goes off and then your body has to snap to it.
I wouldn't go back to a regular alarm. That seems like to stupidest way to wake up to me.
