Well I guess the ideal zone for TF is the Mason-Dixon line, but it will survive down south more than it will thrive up north with minimal maintenance. Judging by the density of plant life in your yard you have decent shade and good natural moisture so the grass should do very well. If it were constantly in direct sun and exposed to wind it may have a tough time down there.
