So Apple decided rather than spend money (being cash-strapped as they are), they'd rather screw over their customers. Good business decision - until your customers find out.
I haven't upgraded my iOS and won't until the Google app is available. Not that I use the Maps all that much, it's just I hate the idea of downgrading anything.
