When I visited Vancouver and Vancouver Island last summer, I thought the Disaster Response Route signs were quite interesting, and a little eerie - certainly not something you see in many other cities (maybe not any?) in Canada.
For any current or former Vancouverites - was awareness of the risk of a big earthquake or tsunami something that you thought about often? Did you keep a disaster preparedness kit in your home? Is it something people talk about at all?
