-Make sure you use the specified jack points on the car (will show them in the owners manual).
- chock at least one wheel and make sure the park brake is on
- break the lug nuts (do not remove or loosen, just get them started) before jacking the car up. If you don't the wheels will spin while you're trying to break the lug nut loose.
- mark the tires you're removing with the positions they were in (ie front driver's side). Put them back in the same position in the spring (unless they're due for rotating anyways)
