The employer can't tell squat from your SIN number. It's only used for your deductions, record of employment, etc. It'll be a gap in your employment record but that doesn't seem to be a problem in your case. The reason companies tend to let people go before 3 months is because they don't need cause. After 3 months it becomes difficult to get rid of problem employees, not saying that you fit that description but sometimes they play it safe.
