20 years ago today the Jays won their first world series. It can be used as a crutch by a lot of fans to relive the glory years, but what an amazing moment in time that was for the country and baseball in Canada. I'm still to young to remember it, but Game 6 had to be one of the best and most intense playoff games of all time. From what I can remember, from watching old VHS copies of the games:

Jays had a ton of hits but failed to really capitalize. Borders got thrown out at the plate I think. I remember him also throwing a Braves base runner out. I remember Maldanado making a huge catch in the 9th and the Jays being just one strike away with a lights out bullpen.

Somehow they get out of the 9th, which would have been daunting to not have gotten out of considering it forces a game 7 in Atlanta. Winfield up with 2 outs and 2 strikes and comes up with a huge hit but then the Braves rally again and Nixon comes up in the same spot. Cannot begin to grasp the emotions of being a fan of a team trying to win their first championship and having a swing of emotions like that
