Like Minute Maid, Comerica was once known for being something it is not today; it was actually hailed as a pitchers' park in its early days of existence. That changed following the 2002 season, when the Tigers installed a temporary fence to cut down the field dimensions, most notably dropping the distance in left-center from 395 to 370 feet.
