I like a reward system, but I would also like every team to have a good chance to be rewarded.
Did Spike ask for any considerations regarding ratings, and when they will be available. And whether or not the midseason rerates would be warrented again like last season. Will the Spike viewers demand more rating changes? Do they have their own system they want to use?

Spike had no say on the POW and POM awards. Of course if you are a committed GM making your team better there should be some reward. There were quite a few non playoff calibre teams that benefitted from the awards as well. I dont know how the league could award players who arent performing well....its one of those things. They will stay, and probably will stay close to as is. The commissioners will review those over the summer.
The ratings of the players are the sole responsibility of the CPHL. We will not use outside sources for ratings and will endeavour to have ratings adjusted over the summer once again. As with the NHL there are always a few surprises during the playing year. The Commissioners "may" determine to allow some of those surprises in rerates during the year. It will be at the Commissioners discretion. Over the first 4 years we think we have got close to proper ratings...and with another summer to check players out we feel we will be better than most...but again its all rhetoric as theres always something that buggers ratings up.
