I've never had a cat who pisses outside their litter box (unless ill), I've never had a dog who ate poop, I actually clean up my backyard so it doesn't smell like dog crap and scoop the litter box so it doesn't smell like cat piss. My cats & dog get along great. Cats are great companions when you have a busy life as they are pretty self sufficient besides food & water, and dogs are great companions when you want an animal with tons of personality & have the time to devote to it.
I never understand the dislike some people have for one or the other. Just because my friends dog is a disgusting, annoying jerk that eats her toddlers poop outta the diaper doesn't mean all dogs do...and just because some peoples cats are pissy (literally) doesn't mean all cats have it out for you. I love them both! And my tarantula.
