That's less than you're losing in food.

Can you use a screwdriver?

Buy a lock like the one linked, put your food in the room and lock the door.

Seems pretty simple.

If the guy breaks the lock to get your food you have no other choice than to move out because that's just nuts.

A lock like this is very inexpensive and very easy to install.
