I remember the McD pizzas, because I worked there when they rolled them out.

The flavors available were deluxe, hawaian, and pepperoni.

Deluxe was a little cheese first, then 6 pepperoni slices, 6 green pepper wedges, a scoop of onions, a scoop of mushrooms, and a scoop of italian sausage, then more cheese on top.

Pepperoni was a little cheese, (I think) 12 slices of pepperoni, and more cheese on top.

Hawaiian was a little cheese, 6 slices of ham, two scoops of pineapple, and then more cheese on top.

Of course, you could order cheese pizza too.

They were delicious at first, because they actually used fresh ingredients, and the pizza was comparable to Pizza Hut pizza. (Fresh, being the toppings - the crust was a pre-baked bread-like thing.)

What ended up happening is the initial buzz wore off, and people started ordering less and less as the years rolled by. When we first started out, we'd go through about 6 trays of each type of pizza a day. Each tray had either 3 of one kind or a family sized pizza. Eventually, it got less and less, until we were getting maybe 2 or 3 orders of pizza a day, and that's when McDonald's made the fatal mistake of switching to the pre-packaged McCain's pizza, which tasted like $#!+.

McDonald's spent millions on installing these new super hot ovens to cook the pizzas, and I think in some of the restaurants, they are still there, except they only cook pies and muffins now.

This chain has really gone downhill since the glory days, and it was all in an attempt to save money. Before, they would cook tons of burgers just before the lunch crowd, and when you ordered, the cashier would be able to turn around, grab your sandwiches, get your fries, and you would have your order in front of you in less than a minute. Nowadays, you'd be lucky to get it under 3 minutes because they cook their meat and keep them in heating trays, then prepare your burger to order.
