JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Transmission & Distribution Services Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Shift Supervisor is accountable for the safe, efficient and effective execution of the department's maintenance activities in adherence to Suncor's policies, standards and procedures. This position is located in Fort McMurray and relocation to Fort McMurray is required.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Supervise a maintenance team of unionized, contractor and staff employees
- Conduct performance management, shift scheduling and all other personnel related administrative duties of the team
- Proactively lead and advocate Suncor's Journey to Zero efforts
- Delegate, empower and hold accountable the team and individuals
- Execute the department's maintenance activities in adherence to Suncor's M&R Standard
- Provide coaching and training to department staff on maintenance processes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Valid Power System Electrician ticket or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience as a maintainer or operator in a high voltage environment
- Supervisory experience within a union environment
- Grade 12 or GED
Skills and Knowledge:- Good working knowledge and experience with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- SAP experience would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and make informed decisions
- Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Motivated self-starter who works well independently and in team environments
- Oil Sands knowledge is an asset
- Technical knowledge of high voltage equipment, control and protection systems is considered an asset
- Demonstrated leadership, administrative and organizational skills
WORKING CONDITIONS- This is a Fort McMurray, Alberta position and relocation is required
