I think Leinart may have had more attitude/focus issues than actual talent issues that I am not sure are USC problems, but you may have something in terms of these QBs looking more attractive to pros based on the fact that these guys all fit the prototypical QB look (ie 6'4 225-ish), play in a pro system that doesn't pump up their stats and play for a big school, with success and against good competition. I could see how in a world of spread offenses and shotgun QB's that a traditional style QB like USC produces could end up looking better in scouts eyes than they actually are.
Not sure why Barkley would look like having bust potential but I do know that guys that stick around an extra year tend to get picked apart more than they often should.
Hopefully (for whoever picks him) Barkley lives up to his deserved lofty ranking.
