True, but not clustered enough to prove an inprobable task. There's a very good chunk of dead people as well, and they fact that zombies they are still walking can't really move that fast. There would be very, very few MASS zombie herds if they took a rural route to the ocean. Wouldn't be hard to do, as long as you have a map, enough gas and are able to find rations along the way.

Then again, this is just a show, and I should enjoy it for just what it is; shows like these don't have to be perfect, no matter how much we analyze them.
