Ordered this Kenmore Elite dishwasher from Sears and payed $799 reg "$1299" Kenmore Elite's are either Bosch (no heating element exposed) or Whirlpool (heating element exposed in the tub)

After doing some extra digging before it was shipped but payed for, I found out that Sears in the USA had been selling it for $1020 USD and was discontinued from them for almost 2 years now. I felt really ripped off. All they did was change the part number to a Canadian # that has no internet info and sell them as "just arrived" Canada has really high inflated prices on appliances I have found compared to the USA.

After doing more research and scrounging on the Sears Parts Direct website I found out it is the same dishwasher as the Bosch SHE55M15UC which trail sells that model of "Bosch for $ 1449 -$ 200 instate rebate (bosch has an instant rebate out until Nov = $ 1249 + gst = $ 1311.45" So with an extra 2 wash cycles, stainless control panel vs plastic with the Bosch, and a much nicer LCD panel $799 turned into a really good deal after all.

Random story that really has nothing to do with when appliances go on sale, But I thought about sharing anyway.
