I was able to get a little more information. FIFA believes Canada, Sinclair specifically, accused them of fixing the match. When she went to her meeting last week, they asked for an apology and wanted her to back down from saying that the ref had made the decision of the match's winner before the start of the game. She said no and wouldn't retract what she said in August.
Sinclair has a media availability scheduled for Monday morning to discuss it. The CSA has asked for an explanation from FIFA, but my opinion of CSA is only slightly above that of FIFA. It's all political as everyone likely knows.
Although I didn't keep my eyes on Sinclair the whole time after the post game, she didn't touch her in anyway. Tancredi spoke to her very very closely, but no physical contact was made. But like you said, there could be more to this that none of us there saw or are aware of.
